Light Equipment Operator- South District

Description

Essential Functions:

• Must be able to operate with proficiency all equipment in the Laborer & Laborer/Light Equipment Operator classification & has some limited experience operating a grader, dozer scraper & transport equipment including an end dump & belly dump
• Is capable of limited supervising in absence of the District Foreman
• Has the ability to train less experienced employees on different types of road equipment
• Must be able to understand basic road construction guidelines
• Preforms pre/post trips, safety checks & service on assigned equipment.  Performs routine maintenance & emergency situations on a 7-day/24-hour basis, as needed.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must possess a Valid Utah Commercial Drivers License Class "A", with a clean driving record
• Must be able to pass & maintain a DOT medical certification
• High School graduate or equivalent
